WHY HIRE AN INTERIOR DESIGNER?
An Interior designer will save you time and money, and work with you to narrow down options that fit both your needs and budget. Moreover, Interior Designers have access to an abundance of trade resources that aren't available to the public, that could be offered at better costs to you.
HOW LONG WILL MY PROJECT TAKE TO BE COMPLETED?
The timeline varies with each project, and we understand the sense of urgency to get our clients projects completed as soon as possible. We make timeline a priority going in to the project, and provide you a start and estimated finish date in our agreement. We'd be happy to give you an estimated timeframe before we start the process based on your scope of work in a complimentary discovery call.
HOW DOES YOUR FEE STRUCTURE WORK?
We provide a flat fee at the outset of discussions, so that our clients feel comfortable knowing there won't be any surprises later. The flat fee will depend on the scope of work that is needed for your project. Depending on the scope of work, or if there are change orders, an hourly fee may apply.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I BUDGET FOR LABOR AND FINISHES?
It is ideal to note that the average budgets range greatly based on scope of work, project size, location, and the client's taste and style of finishes. We understand and respect that budget is one of the most important considerations when entering a project, and we'll propose a suggested budget accordingly - this helps immensely to mitigate going over budget, and set expectations upfront.
WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVICE?
We now offer virtual services, and therefore can service anywhere in the entire world. Our primary service areas are Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire.
DO YOU WORK WITH OTHER CONSULTANTS?
Yes, we can connect you with referrals for Architects, Engineers, Surveyors, and any other consultants your project needs. We'll also work in tandem with them to ensure all the moving parts of the project are synced, and are happy to work collaboratively with any consultants you already have selected.
DO YOU WORK WITH ALL STYLES?
The short answer is yes! The process of interior design is the same regardless of what the design style is. Our portfolio mainly reflects a modern and contemporary aesthetic; however, we appreciate and have experience designing within all styles, including traditional, transitional, boho, eclectic, farmhouse, etc. If you'd like to view our additional projects that we've chosen not to feature in our portfolio, please email us and specify your preferred design style at info@lavalinteriors.com.
CAN WE USE OUR CREDIT CARD TO PURCHASE ITEMS, OR SOURCE OUR OWN FINISHES?
If you've chosen the full service package, all procurement of all of the finishes is included in our service fee, including purchasing for you with our accounts/lines of credit. We ask that you do not purchase anything on your own, as we take care of sourcing everything for you in-house - this ensures that all moving parts in the project appropriately fit in your space(s) both functionally and aesthetically.
